Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician I Location: Saint Charles, MO Department: Recovery Services Employment Type: Part-time Shift: Overnight-Weekends Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Technician I (Overnight – Weekends) position provides direct care and supervision to clients/patients during overnight hours in a residential recovery setting. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment while clients rest and transition through nighttime routines. Behavioral Health Technicians monitor client activities, respond to overnight needs or crises, complete required documentation, and support program expectations. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, observant, and comfortable working independently while remaining part of a collaborative treatment team. Key Responsibilities: Overnight Client Supervision Monitor clients/patients throughout overnight hours to ensure safety, security, and compliance with program expectations Conduct regular checks and respond appropriately to client needs, concerns, or crises Treatment Team Participation Participate as an integral member of the treatment team by observing and documenting client behaviors, strengths, needs, and progress Communicate overnight observations and concerns to supervisors and day staff for continuity of care Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor Program Compliance Ensure adherence to all program rules and expectations during overnight shifts Report behaviors, incidents, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors to support effective therapeutic interventions Medication Policies Follow all medication policies and procedures Collaborate with trained nursing staff to ensure compliance when medications are self-administered or administered by PFH associates Admissions and Orientation Support Assist with overnight admissions as needed, including: Safety searches of clients/patients and belongings Obtaining vital signs if applicable Collecting urine or lab specimens per protocol Client Support and Education Assist and educate clients/patients with daily living activities as needed during overnight hours Provide calm, respectful support that promotes a therapeutic and recovery-focused environment Transportation Assistance Provide transportation support for clients/patients when required, including overnight or early morning needs Experience and Education Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of responsible employment Experience in Human Services, Behavioral Health, Recovery Services, or a related field preferred OR Exceptions to qualifications may be approved by an Executive Team member Position Perks & Benefits: Paid time off: full-time employees receive an attractive time off package to balance your work and personal life Employee benefits package: full-time employees receive health, dental, vision, retirement, life, & more Top-notch training: initial, ongoing, comprehensive, and supportive Career mobility: advancement opportunities/promoting from within Welcoming, warm, supportive: a work culture & environment that promotes your well-being, values you as human being, and encourages your health and happiness Brightli is on a Mission: A mission to improve client care, reduce the financial burden of community mental health centers by sharing resources, a mission to have a larger voice in advocacy to increase access to mental health and substance user care in our communities, and a mission to evolve the behavioral health industry to better meet the needs of our clients.
