The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating care for clinic patients through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment implementation. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide educational tools to facilitate patient and family decision-making.
Candidates must be graduates of accredited nursing and Nurse Practitioner programs with current ARNP licensure. BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred, along with a certification in Family Medicine.
Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for clinic patients Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs. Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role. Monitors the effectiveness of interventions. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals. Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools and patient engagement SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Not Applicable QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program Current Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) Licensure Current Nurse Practitioner certification in Family Medicine, preferred Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), preferred Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint WORKING CONDITIONS General office working conditions PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
