Operate specialized X-ray equipment to produce breast images for early detection under the guidance of a radiologist. Responsibilities include positioning patients, maintaining quality assurance calibrations, and ensuring radiation safety.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and possess current ARRT and Mammography certifications. Ongoing continuing education in accordance with ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan standards is required.
Responsible for operating X-Ray and mammography equipment to produce breast images for early detection while working with a trained and certified radiologist.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training.
Certificates, licenses, registrations
Must hold a current ARRT certificate and be willing to obtain a Mammography Certification within 1 year. (Open to on-the-job training for registered RTs). Must continue to obtain the recommended number of Continuing Educations Credits each year for your certifications. Continuing education in accordance with the ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
