Provide high-quality care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enhance their health, safety, and dignity. Assist and train individuals in personal care, communication, and social skill development within a residential facility.
Must hold a current LPN license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and possess a valid driver's license. One year of experience as an LPN is preferred along with a genuine interest in working with the IDD population.
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our IDD team in our Crafton, PA location.
Our Licensed Practical Nurse interact and support our adults in a variety of potential settings and provide a level of care that enhances the health, safety, dignity, and contentment of every individual served by assisting and training them in the areas of personal care, communication, and social skill development. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors. This position is located in our PHMC facility that operates as a 45-50 bed location.
Merakey AVS is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the nearly 800 individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors.
