The Mental Health Technician coordinates facility visitation and provides direct care, supervision, and safety for psychiatric residents. They assist with therapeutic activities, transport patients to medical appointments, and act as a role model for residents.
A high school diploma is required, while a bachelor's degree in Psychology and experience with inpatient psychiatric populations are preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and be physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
