· Responsible for the scheduling of surgery procedures for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital - Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital – Fort Worth Outpatient Center.
Education: · High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience: · 1-year previous scheduling experience
· Medical terminology experience preferred.
Duties: and Responsibilities:
· Obtains all appropriate information required for the scheduling of procedures for the Operating Room.
· Ensures that all practitioners scheduling procedures have approved privileges for the requested procedures through validation of the clinical privilege delineation lists with any questions regarding privileges referred to the Director of Surgical Services.
· Posts scheduled surgical cases on the Operating Room Log and on the scheduling board completely and accurately
· Prepares daily surgical schedules and makes available for staff.
· Ensure maximum utilization of available Operating Room Suites and staff.
· Ability to operate office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
· Computer knowledge
· Good typing skills
· Good communication skills
· Ability to utilize Electronic Health Care Record system for documentation to patient's account/record.
