Substance Abuse Counselor - Parkview Residence

Duties/Responsibilities

• Manage client caseload.
• Intake screening and referral, individual and group counseling, assist with maintaining therapeutic milieu, maintenance of timely and accurate clinical documentation, case management and escorting clients for advocacy when needed.
• Referral to detox, short-term rehab; out patient treatment.
• Placement in long-term rehab.
• Dual diagnosis education and support; focused K2 reduction initiative.Some outreach work as needed and related duties as assigned.

HOURS

Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Monday-Friday 9am-5: 30pm

Qualifications

MSW or CASAC-T License required. LMHC or LMSW preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, knowledge of alcoholism treatment and familiarity with 12-step programs. Basic Computer Literacy required.
