Assist patients in setting recovery goals and utilize personal recovery experience to role model positive progress. Provide peer support services across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings while teaching problem-solving and social skills.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and a self-identification as a person in healthy recovery from substance abuse. Must have completed a state-approved training program and passed the certification exam.
