The Certified Medical Assistant supports dermatologists by rooming patients, scribing visit information, and performing clinical tasks like blood draws and suture removal. They also assist with various dermatological procedures including biopsies, excisions, and Mohs micrographic surgery.
A high school diploma is required, and post-secondary education as a Certified Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN is strongly preferred. Candidates should ideally have over one year of recent experience in a medical office and maintain all necessary state certifications.
