Provide expert trauma surgical care to patients in emergency situations Perform surgical procedures and postoperative management Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care Participate in trauma rounds and patient evaluations Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Provide education and support to patients and their families Stay updated with advancements in trauma surgery techniques and protocols Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification in General Surgery or Trauma Surgery Active medical license in the state of practice Experience in trauma surgery, preferably in a hospital setting Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Schedule: 12 or 24-hour shifts Patient Volume: 35 per day, split between providers Must be proficient with tube thoracostomy, central venous catheter placement, and arterial line placement Support Staff: Surgeons, APPs, and residents EMR: Cerner PowerChart Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
