The LPN provides patient care under physician direction, including preparing patients for exams and assisting during treatments. They are also responsible for coordinating follow-up care and maintaining accurate medical records.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Georgia LPN license. BLS certification and previous healthcare experience, preferably in an ambulatory or outpatient setting, are required.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Supervisor or Practice. The LPN recognizes patient's needs and symptoms in advance and provides care for the patient under the physician's direction. This includes preparing patient for exams, assisting during treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care, and recording treatment in medical record. The LPN assists with patient and family education and demonstrates competency and skills to serve patients of all ages .
