Performs patient care and surgical scrub duties within the obstetric department, including environment organization and equipment maintenance. Assists with delivery room procedures and provides basic care, comfort, and safety for patients.
Requires completion of a Trade School Surgical Technician Program or equivalent experience. Preference is given to candidates with one year of experience in Labor and Delivery, acute care, or OR surgical scrub roles.
Performs a variety of patient care and surgical scrub duties within the obstetric department including organization of the environment, maintenance of equipment, assisting with delivery room procedures, and basic tasks necessary to provide for care, comfort, and safety of the patients. Performs 1:1 duties on all units and performs PCA duties on other units as needed.
Education Trade School Surgical Technician Program Required or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
Experience 1 year experience as a Labor and Delivery Technician Preferred 1 year experience in a patient care role in an acute care setting Preferred 1 year experience in an OR Surgical Scrub role Preferred
