The role involves assisting Occupational Therapists in planning and conducting programs to help patients regain physical and mental stability. Essential duties include adhering to privacy regulations, maintaining professional relationships, and accurately evaluating patient needs to implement and review care plans.
Candidates must possess current licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through the Kansas Board of Healing Arts and a current BLS/CPR card. Minimum physical requirements involve medium work, occasionally exerting up to 50 lbs, with 26-50% of the day spent standing or walking.
Required Education and Experience Education commensurate with certification requirements at date of issue. Required License/Certifications/Registrations Current licensure in Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through the Kansas Board of Healing Arts Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first. Kansas Driver’s License (if position requires driving) Auto Insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas Insurance requirements (if position requires driving) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Education and Experience Previous experience in a similar environment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Basic knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Basic computer skills. PHYSICAL
