Provides comprehensive clinical, distributive, and consultative pharmaceutical services, including drug compounding and dispensing. Coordinates pharmacy services for research and clinical trials while serving as a liaison between study teams and nursing.
Requires a Bachelor's in Pharmacy and a CA Board of Pharmacy License, with BLS or ACLS certification. Candidates need two years of related experience, or one year if a PGY1 residency was completed.
Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus. Ability to precept students and residents. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines. Knowledge of influence of patient's age, sex, concomitant disease states, concurrent drug therapy, foods and diagnostic procedures on drug activity and disposition. Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility. Knowledge of Medical terminology and abbreviations; pharmacology and pharmacological nomenclature; medical therapeutics, pharmacokinetics, and disease states. Knowledge of methods and procedures involved in proper handling and storing of pharmaceutical supplies. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pathology, chemistry and mathematics as they relate to pharmacy practice. Knowledge of prescription and non-prescription drugs and drug products and their indications, efficacy, dosage, mechanisms of action; fate and disposition (if known), major contraindications and potential side effects. Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $116.33 - $116.33 per hour The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
