Sr. CT Technologist, Variable Shift, Full Time

• Job Summary: Utilizes computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patient's internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.
• Provides clinical care efficiently and effectively using a high level of technical and organizational skills as well as critical thinking ability.

• Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred Three years' CT technologist experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA Advanced certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Fluoroscopy license: Preferred in CA and OR Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR Facility Specific License/Certifications: Venipuncture (IV) certification: Required Essential Functions: Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Ensures department, equipment and staffing meet requirements set forth by any accreditation maintained by facility (JCAHO, ACR, State Licensures, etc.).
• Leads and is responsible for the process of accreditation with these governing bodies for the specific modality.
• Plans the daily patient workload to accommodate patients.
• Provides adequate staffing to accommodate patient workload, while covering vacations and sick days.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
