The Certified Surgical Technologist provides surgical scrub support for various minor and major surgical procedures. They operate under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Registered Nurses.
Candidates must be high school graduates with a certification in Operating Room Technology. Current competency verification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation for all age groups, including pediatrics, is required.
Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, Surgical Services, and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing surgical scrub on all types of minor and major surgical procedures dependent on individual competencies.
