SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant is adaptable, dependable, and eager to advance their clinical careers. As an essential member of the patient care team, the Medical Assistant will provide both administrative and clinical support to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. The MA should deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care, enhancing clinic efficiency, and contributing to an outstanding patient experience. This position also offers the opportunity to be cross trained in patient registration and medical records support, as needed.

Participate in company initiatives and team activities Responsible for documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) system(s) Requesting external medical records and preparing patient charts prior to patient appointments Performing and documenting patient vital signs Completing review of systems and intake documentation Preparing patients for physician care Administering basic first aid Performing venipunctures and non-intravenous injections Performing basic laboratory procedures Observing and reporting patients’ signs or symptoms Able to serve as a chaperone in patient examinations as needed Assisting with patient examinations, procedures, or treatments Administering certain medications as directed by the physician

Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive tasks are also required, along with sensitivity to patient needs and environmental changes.
