The Pediatric Physical Therapist evaluates and treats children from infancy through adolescence while developing individualized treatment plans. Additionally, the role involves providing clinical supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
Candidates must hold a degree in Physical Therapy and a current Florida PT license in good standing. Experience with pediatric populations and a Florida Medicaid provider number or eligibility are also required.
The Pediatric Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating children from infancy through adolescence with a range of physical conditions. This role also includes developing individualized treatment plans and providing clinical supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), scheduled according to your availability. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations of pediatric patients Create and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans Deliver hands-on therapy to improve strength, mobility, coordination, and motor skills Educate parents and caregivers on home exercise programs and therapeutic activities Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including SLPs, OTs, and physicians Document patient progress and adjust treatment as needed to ensure optimal outcomes Stay informed on the latest pediatric physical therapy techniques and evidence-based practices
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Current Florida PT license in good standing Florida Medicaid provider number (or eligibility to apply) Experience working with pediatric populations with diverse physical disabilities Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Commitment to patient-centered, family-focused care Why Join Us?
