The Laboratory Assistant supports technologists by performing basic laboratory procedures, recording specimen data, and maintaining equipment. Responsibilities include preparing reagents, managing inventory, and ensuring the proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for science courses and knowledge of medical terminology. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced biohazard environment.

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00pm-5:30am (subject to change based on business needs)

The Laboratory Assistant will assist the department technologist in performing various basic laboratory procedures using laboratory equipment to facilitate production. This in an entry level position in the clinical laboratory job family and employees in this position may not manipulate samples.
