Requirements summary
Requires a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling and state licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or license eligibility. Prior experience in acute behavioral health settings and proficiency in CBT or DBT is preferred.
The Clinician provides direct clinical services to patients enrolled in the Acute Partial Hospitalization (APH) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. Responsibilities include individual, family, and group therapy; treatment planning; crisis intervention; and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments for patients seeking acute behavioral health services to determine need for treatment of behavioral issues.
2. Complete and analyze evidenced based screening tools and assessments.
3. Provides individual and group counseling for patients.

Along with patient, develop treatment plans, including clear problem statement, treatment goal(s), with measurable, relevant objectives for a range of behavioral health concerns.

Manage case load comprised of moderate to high acuity patients.

Able to conduct multiple psycho-educational, therapeutic and skills groups and individual therapy services.
7.
Collaborate with other mental health and educational professionals to coordinate care.
8.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation records.
9.
Work within a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
10.
Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current on best practices in the field of behavioral health.
11.
Complete all mandatory AHS trainings and competencies as assigned.
