The Clinical Technician provides safe and effective patient care, specifically focusing on monitoring and reporting cardiac rhythm patterns. They are also responsible for performing EKGs and managing ambulance reports.
Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED and a vocational diploma or completion of an EKG recognition course. Experience as a nursing assistant, EMT, or similar clinical role is preferred, though second-semester nursing students may be eligible.
The Clinical Technician provides safe, efficient, and therapeutic effective patient care as scheduled. The technician performs monitoring and reporting of cardiac rhythm patterns and changes. Performs electrocardiographs (EKGs). Monitors and manages ambulance reports.
