Prepare instruments and the operating field for surgical procedures according to physician preferences. Assist the surgical team and RN staff before, during, and after surgery in the operating room and PACU areas.
Requires 2-3 years of Cath lab or surgical experience and BLS & ACLS certifications. An Associate degree and ARRT certification are preferred, though RCIS or RCVT may be accepted.
Prepare instruments and supplies to perform procedures according to the physician’s documented preferred routine. Prepares the operating field for procedures. Performs routine and delegated duties. Assist the physician and surgical team before, during and after surgery and will assume responsibility and accountability for the preparation of operating rooms by providing support, assistance and maintenance of instruments and equipment. Assist RN staff in the pre-op and PACU areas.
