Operate each x-ray machine at all Orthopaedic Associates locations, take x-rays required by the physicians, and assist with clinic duties when applicable.

Requirements
- Possesses strong initiative to get daily work finished and processed.
- Has ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
- Takes directions from Administrator and Physicians.
- Maintains scheduled attendance.
- Versatile and willing to coordinate with and participate in, when necessary, all other aspects of the Office.
- Participates in the Quality Improvement process and activities including the areas of Safety, EMR, Patient Satisfaction, Physician Satisfaction, and OSHA Compliance.
- Gets along with the Administrator, patients and peers. Is courteous, understanding and sympathetic toward patients, physicians and others.
- Must keep private information confidential.
Job duties
- Know how to operate DR x-ray machines in each office; know how to do mechanical axis and spine stitching films
- Orthopedic X-rays preferred; will train the right candidate
- Put images on a disc from PACS for patients and doctors
- Import images from outside facilities to our PACS system.
- Correct errors in PACS system
- Place service calls to Swissray or Fuji when needed; Call the On Call Technician
- Assist and/or lift patients of varying weights onto x-ray table greater than 50 pounds
- High Volume patient load
- Order supplies for the office
- Occasionally assist in clinic as an MA

Working conditions
- Sitting, standing and walking considerable amount of time
- Extensive pulling, pushing, bending and lifting greater than 50 pounds
- Travel to satellite offices
- Occasionally working through lunch
- May need to come in early or stay late if provider has busy clinic
Qualifications
- Must have current Florida State Radiologic Technologist license operator
- ARRT
- BLS CPR certification
- Minimum 6 months experience taking orthopedic x-rays
- Human relation skills to deal effectively with patients in the clinic
- Basic level of data entry and typing skills.
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks as expeditiously as possible, while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Transportation to travel between offices; Adapt to last minute schedule changes
- Athena EMR preferred
