Surgical Scrub Technician

• Veterinary Surgical Centers is looking for a Surgical Scrub Technician to join our surgery team.
• This is a critical role in the operating room — responsible for the preparation, sterilization, and organization of all surgical instruments and equipment so that our surgeons and clinical team can do their best work without interruption.
• You will work closely with the surgical team in a fast-paced, high-standard environment where attention to detail and a commitment to sterility directly impact patient outcomes.
• WHAT YOU'LL DO Surgical Instrument & Equipment Maintenance You will clean, inspect, and maintain all surgical instruments after each use, assemble instrument sets according to established pack lists and surgeon preferences, and ensure all equipment is properly cared for, stored, and ready for the next procedure.
• Sterilization & Pack Preparation You will wrap, package, label, and sterilize all surgical instrument packs according to hospital protocol, operate autoclave and sterilization equipment, and maintain accurate sterilization logs including biological and chemical indicator results.
• Inventory Management You will maintain accurate inventory of surgical instruments, implants, consumables, and supplies, monitor stock levels, process incoming orders, and communicate needs to hospital leadership to ensure surgical scheduling is never impacted by supply gaps.
• Operating Room Support You will set up instrument tables and sterile fields prior to procedures, support room turnover between cases, assist with proper disposal of sharps and biohazardous waste, and help maintain a clean, efficient, and safe operating environment throughout the day.
• Compliance & Documentation You will maintain accurate sterilization records, implant logs, and equipment maintenance documentation in accordance with DEA, OSHA, and hospital infection control protocols.
