Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests while overseeing practices such as quality assurance, instrument maintenance, and staff training. The role involves interpreting test results and ensuring compliance with CLIA, CAP, DOH, and DNV regulatory guidelines.
Requires MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent within six months of hire and competency in high complexity testing. Two years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician is desired.
$33.90 - $56.22 Overview
Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests, interpretation of test results, instrument operation, in addition to supporting clients as they access laboratory services. Oversees laboratory practices for given lab section such as, procedure documentation, quality assurance, quality control monitoring, instrument maintenance, staff training, and preparing for various certification, licensure, and accreditation processes. Position Reports To: Laboratory Manager
Certification of MLT (ASCP), or equivalent within 6 months of hire. Trained and competent in high complexity testing within 6 months of being hired.
Two years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
O = Occasional, represents 1 to 25% or up to 30 minutes in a 2 hour workday. F = Frequent, represents 26 to 50% or up to 1 hour of a 2 hour workday. C = Continuous, represents 51% to 100% or up to 2 hours of a 2 hour workday.
