Responsibilities

Under general supervision, and with medical consultation and direction, performs physical, psycho-social assessment; establishes medical diagnosis; orders and evaluate diagnostic tests; manages follow up care; does other related work as required. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, developing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting lab tests and results, along with providing preventative healthcare and counseling

Qualifications

• A college degree as a Physician’s Assistant from a recognized university, affiliated with a medical school.
• Keyboarding and internet skills, ability to work with electronic medical records, webpages and patient portal.
• Georgia State Medical Board Certification and adherence to the Medical Practice Act provisions; Current NCCPA certification.
• PREFERRED: Compassionate, thorough, focused, and detail oriented.
• Able to recognize, analyze and prioritize problems.
• Preference for dealing with people who are ill and need help.
• Displays an outgoing, warm and helpful attitude.
• Tact to deal effectively with patients, guests, co-workers and physicians.
• Able to communicate clearly with patients over the telephone and in person.
• Two to five years of experience with a medical practice setting where diagnosis, treatment, and patient education were the main focus of the role.
