The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting, including performing diagnostic procedures and administering medications. They are responsible for documenting patient care in EHR systems and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Experience in an outpatient setting and certifications in CPR/BLS or through AAMA, AMT, or NCCT are preferred.
The Certified Medical Assistant supports the delivery of patient care in an outpatient setting by performing clinical, administrative, and technical tasks under the supervision of a licensed provider. This role requires initiative, teamwork, and effective communication with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and coworkers. The Certified Medical Assistant provides patient-centered care to individuals across the lifespan, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, clinical protocols, and applicable federal and state regulations. The role supports care coordination, quality improvement initiatives, and promotes a safe and efficient clinical environment.
