Care Team Assistant - Surgery - Encinitas

• Assisting with equipment and supplies.
• Housekeeping duties to turn over rooms between cases.
• Assisting in positioning patients for procedures.
• Assisting in transporting patients.
• Assisting with transporting labs/specimens.
• Providing excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team.
• Assisting patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collect data, and ensure the patient has a safe, organized environment.
• Assisting with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
• Supporting the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.

Required

• Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English. Excellent interpersonal skills. American Heart Association (AHA)

• Support (BLS) for health care provider
• Preferred:: Multiple patient care skills preferred. Prefer one year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities.
