Provides clinical support to nursing and licensed practitioner staff in the Emergency Department to assist in patient care and treatment. Manages department inventory and serves as a liaison between the healthcare team, patients, and families.
Requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and Washington state certifications for Phlebotomy and Nursing Assistance. Preferred candidates have two years of EMT or Emergency Department experience and training in orthopedic technology.
The Emergency Department Technician provides support to the Emergency Department (ED) Nursing and Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) staff by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients with illnesses and injuries. Serves as a liaison among members of the healthcare team, patients and families. Organizes, replaces and maintains inventory and supply levels in the Department. Assists in other department-related activities.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
