The Clinical Social Worker I is responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients and families, providing social work consultation to interdisciplinary teams. They will engage in diagnostic assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and other collaborative tasks.
Candidates must have a Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work and meet specific licensure requirements based on their state. Experience requirements include 3,000 hours of post-masters social work experience for Connecticut or 24 months of experience for Rhode Island.

EDUCATION Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work. EXPERIENCE For Connecticut, consistent with LCSW licensure requirements, 3,000 hours of post-masters social work experience and 100 hours of post-masters clinical supervision. For Rhode Island, consistent with LICSW licensure requirements, 24 months of experience licensed as a licensed clinical social worker under appropriate supervision. LICENSURE Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the State of Connecticut, or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) from the State of Rhode Island, or those holding licenses from other states, will need an 'endorsement' and meet the State of Connecticut or State of Rhode Island license requirements SPECIAL SKILLS The Social Worker will possess the following special skills: empathy, active listening, critical thinking, strong organizational and computer skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with and advocate for patients and families.
