The technician is responsible for setting up and operating hemodialysis equipment while monitoring patient vital signs and responses to treatment. They must ensure compliance with infection control policies and accurately document all patient care activities in electronic records.
Candidates must hold a CCHT certification, a high school diploma, and a current BLS certification. A minimum of 2 years of experience in hemodialysis patient care is required, with preceptor experience preferred.
Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician to join our healthcare team. The Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician will be responsible for performing hemodialysis treatments and providing support to our patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
Set up and operate hemodialysis equipment according to prescribed protocols and procedures. Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure that the treatment is progressing safely and effectively. Administer heparin as ordered by the healthcare team. Evaluate patients' responses to treatment and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff or physician. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during the treatment. Assist in the maintenance and calibration of hemodialysis equipment. Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures. Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records. Participate in ongoing training and continuing education programs.
Certification as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) through a recognized national certification program. Preceptor Experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in hemodialysis patient care. Current BLS certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
