Perform specialized diagnostic and research imaging procedures using complex equipment while monitoring patients. Responsibilities include image processing, administering contrast materials, and maintaining quality assurance standards.
Requires completion of an approved Radiologic Technology Education program and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. A valid permit to practice in the State of Iowa is also required.
Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology Education is required. Certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies is required. Permit to practice in the State of Iowa for all radiographers operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment is required. Special qualifications will be indicated with the position advertising process, dependent upon the technology that the staff member will be operating. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
