The Clinical Pharmacist provides safe and effective pharmaceutical care, managing patient drug therapy and ensuring the appropriateness of medication orders. They serve as a primary resource for drug information and participate in the training and precepting of new employees and students.
A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a Virginia Pharmacist License are required, while a Doctorate (PharmD) is preferred. Preferred qualifications include BLS/ACLS certifications, previous hospital experience, and PGY1/PGY2 residency training.
