The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, and implements nursing care for ER patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. They are responsible for ensuring patient safety, quality outcomes, and maintaining a patient-centered care environment.
Requires a current State Registered Nurse license and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS, with TNCC and ENPC obtained within one year. A BSN is preferred, and candidates must meet specific continuing education requirements for Michigan licensure.
Full-Time, Swing Shift (11a - 11p) REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The Registered Nurse (Acute Care) reports to the Manager/Director and has no direct reports.
The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care provided to a group of patients. This nurse leads the nursing team members in the care as directed by the attending physician and in collaboration with other health care providers in accordance with the philosophy and policies of ProMedica Acute Care Hospitals. Actively participates in the creation of an environment that fosters patient, family, physician, and employee satisfaction. Ensures decisions made are based on patient and family centered care philosophy utilizing evidenced based practices, and focused on safety, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
9. Other duties as assigned.
The RN in Michigan must complete twenty-five contact hours of continuing education during his/her licensure period. At least 2 hours of contact hours must be related to pain and pain symptom management. At least 1 hour of contact hours must be related to implicit bias training.
