The Surgical Technologist provides intraoperative technical support, including exposure and hemostasis, to ensure safe surgical operations. They are responsible for maintaining a sterile field and collaborating with the surgeon to manage instruments and patient positioning.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved Surgical Technician Program with certification from CAAHEP or ABHES. At least one year of scrubbing experience is required, with orthopedic experience preferred.
The Surgical Technologist provides aid in exposure, hemostasis and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. The Surgical Technologist performs these functions during the operation under the direction and supervision of the surgeon and in accordance with center policy and appropriate laws and regulations.
Education: Graduate of an approved Surgical Technician Program
Certification from accredited CAAHEP or ABHES program
1 year of Surgical Technician Scrubbing experience: required
Orthopedic experience: preferred
