Behavior Technician

We’re looking for a dedicated PRN Behavior Technician to provide compassionate care and support to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health needs in our short-term Crisis Therapeutic Home in Staunton, VA.

We are hiring for: PRN / as needed

Your Role in Our Mission

• The Behavior Technician (I OR II) will help lead daily programs and group activities designed to promote growth, engagement, and skill development.
• You will provide rehabilitative interventions and implement therapeutic strategies to help the guests achieve their goals, while also assisting with personal care to ensure safety and dignity.
• Collaboration is key!
• You will work closely with primary care providers, referral sources, and families to deliver consistent, compassionate, and coordinated care.
• You will also provide education, guidance, and a judgment-free, supportive environment where every voice is heard.
• Additionally, you will maintain daily documentation and reporting in our electronic health system of record.

Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary

• $19 - $24 per hour based on BT level

• What We’re Looking For
• Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders required
• Education:
• BT I: High School diploma and behavior health experience
• BT II: QMHP (trainee), or
• The ability to register as a Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
