The MRI Technologist operates high-field magnetic energy equipment to perform diagnostic MR and MRA exams according to clinic protocols. They are also responsible for managing clerical processes using RIS and PACS systems.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and specific ARRT or equivalent MRI credentials. Proficiency in computer use and venipuncture is required, with a preference for experience in PACS, RIS, and multi-lingual skills.
High School diploma or equivalent AND graduate of a program approved by the credentialing body for the required associated license(s) ARRT-MR - Radiologic Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT) -- For no experience OR ARMRIT - Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist -- For no experience OR CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure -- For no experience AND ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) -- For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR ARRT-N - Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT) -- For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR ARRT-SON - Radiologic Technologist - Sonography (ARRT) -- For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) -- For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience. RDMS certified as an Ultrasound Technologist OR CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) -- For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience B. BLS certification through American Heart Assoc Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition venipuncture Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
