Requirements summary

Overview
The Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality direct and indirect patient care within the assigned unit. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of departmental and hospital policies, procedures, and standards related to nursing practice. This part-time night shift position involves applying clinical judgment, interpretive skills, and effective communication to support patient care delivery. Frequent interaction, collaboration, and consultation with interdisciplinary healthcare team members are essential to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Practice Facilitates, implements, and evaluates the patient Plan of Care to achieve optimal outcomes.
Provides timely and appropriate nursing interventions based on patient needs and clinical priorities.
Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and technical competence in delivering patient care.
Assesses, analyzes, and communicates patient condition changes and relevant clinical information promptly to the healthcare team.
Acts as a patient advocate, ensuring patient needs, preferences, and safety concerns are addressed.
Collaboration & Communication Collaborates effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to promote positive patient outcomes.
Communicates clearly and professionally with providers regarding patient status, orders, and responses to treatment.
Patient Safety & Risk Management Identifies patient safety risk factors and initiates appropriate interventions related to fall prevention, skin integrity, restraint use, and other safety concerns.
