The Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory assessments and implements therapy needs based on AARC guidelines. They collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver and evaluate patient care.
Requires a High School Diploma and Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required or must be obtained within 90 days.
The Respiratory Therapist acts under the direction of the Director/Manager, utilizing Respiratory therapy processes based on American Association of Respiratory Care Guidelines, Statement of Ethics and Professional Conduct: facilitating patient care with the healthcare team, making respiratory assessment, implementing, delivering and evaluating the patient's respiratory therapy needs.
