Primary Purpose
The RN has the responsibility for the complete care of the residents residing at Beaumont. RN must coordinate the care between the resident, physician, family and nursing staff. RN provides the necessary physical and psycho-social needs by maximizing the resident’s existing abilities, promoting independence, and creating an atmosphere of autonomy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Required to be cross-trained in all areas including Skilled Nursing, Personal Care and Wellness. Must be willing to work in all areas as needed.
Promotes each resident’s independence in their activities of daily living.
Respects and supports each resident’s choices regardless of personal beliefs.
Able to manage difficult situations with a resident.
Is respectful and supporting of the individual resident’s lifestyle and works with those preferences.

Safeguards all residents from abuse and reports any suspected cases.
Upholds all HIPAA regulations.
Upholds Federal and State regulations and standards of clinical practice.
Educates residents and families on medical concerns.

Must be able to evacuate residents in an emergency.

Qualifications/Skills
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN/LPN in this state.
Two years nursing experience preferred.
Must have current CPR certification.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objective, policies, and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
Must be patient, tactful and have a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
Physical Requirements
Long periods of sitting and standing.
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day.
Must be able to walk the entire campus.
Must be able to see and hear and use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that requirements of this position can be fully met.
Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at some times, hostile people within the facility.
Must be able to lift, push and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
Education
Successful completion of accredited RN Program.
