Job description
We are looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our clinics in Boston. In this role, you will be supervised by Stella’s Chief Psychiatric Officer and Founder of the Boston site, Dr. Brian Boyle. Specific responsibilities will include:
Build and manage a panel of patients for psychopharmacology, as well as administer interventional treatment services,
Perform comprehensive consultations to assess prospective patients’ candidacy for ketamine, Spravato, TMS, and SGB
In person, at our Brookline clinic:
Perform comprehensive interval assessments of patients presenting for intravenous ketamine, Spravato, and TMS treatments, to determine treatment plan
Administer and monitor intravenous ketamine and Spravato treatments, including taking vital signs and supporting patients through their experiences
Perform initial TMS mapping and administer subsequent TMS treatments
Across all activities:
Work closely with other Stella clinicians to shape best practices
Ensure clinical protocols are being followed
Provide a seamless and supportive experience to our patients and their loved ones
Contribute to our continuous improvement and growth of the Boston location
Consult regularly with the Chief Psychiatric Officer, VP of Clinical Services, and broader Patient Care Team to design appropriate care plans
Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation of patient consultations and treatments
Assist in the refinement of our care delivery model in partnership with our medical board and operations team
Respond to patient escalations and execute our crisis protocols as needed
Remain accountable to specific daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs related to patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes, while meeting patient demand
Maintain an unwavering dedication to the Stella mission, brand, and messaging across all touchpoints with patients
To be successful in this role, you will need
Be an active Nurse Practitioner with a license in good standing in the state of Massachusetts (additional licensure is a plus)
Beyond 2-year supervisory period (able to prescribe independently)
At least 2 years of clinical psychiatry experience
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and process information in a confidential manner
Ability to collaborate and communicate with members of an interdisciplinary care team
Effective problem-solving and prioritization skills
Previous experience in a clinical setting (ketamine infusion experience, Spravato experience or TMS experience is a plus)
Strong skills in patient care, assessment, and monitoring
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple requests and responsibilities, and learn new proprietary systems quickly
Willingness to obtain active unrestricted license in other states as needed
Ability to work independently
Must be able to reliably commute to Brookline, MA
