Provide spiritual support, counsel, and advocacy for facility staff to enhance morale and workplace culture. Offer guidance on ethical healthcare concerns and conduct rounds to inform residents of available spiritual services.
Requires a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must possess a Professional Chaplain Certification or higher education in theology or a related field.
Primary Responsibilities Provide advice, counsel and support for the facility staff on spiritual and/or other matters. Provide assistance and advice to administration on ethical healthcare concerns. Make resident rounds informing of spiritual care services available. Interview and counsel staff who require/request spiritual counseling services. Be available by telephone for any special problems that may develop. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, positive emphasis and a calm environment throughout the facility.
