The veterinarian will diagnose and treat animal health problems, perform surgeries, and administer vaccinations. They are also responsible for advising pet owners on general care and collaborating with the team to provide high-quality medicine.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree and be licensed to practice in the state of employment. Experience in soft tissue surgery and dentistry, along with strong compassion and communication skills, is required.
CareVet of West Omaha is looking for an experienced full time DVM team member. This opportunity is for a full-time veterinarian who is looking to join our small animal practice in Omaha, Nebraska. In addition to our six figure base, this position offers a $125k bonus package, production bonus plan, clinical support, personalized 1:1 career coaching, schedule flexibility, 401k match, access to our vacation plan, and "true" paid time off.

We are seeking a veterinarian who is experienced with soft tissue surgery and dentals.
Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems Treat and dress wounds Perform surgery on animals Test for and vaccinate against diseases Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments Prescribe medication Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal Strong fondness and understanding of animals Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of animal behavior Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
