Overview

• Provides patient care services to individuals with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders within an interdisciplinary team model.
• Interventions include physical and psychosocial activities.
• Assists with monitoring of the milieu for safety and security.
• Assists patients with ADL care.
• Performs monitoring of vital signs and assists with collection of specimens.
• Assists with maintenance of unit equipment and supplies.
• Helps patients with keeping their bed/room and belongings in order.
• Engages in therapeutic activities with patients and assists therapists with their programming.
• Works under the direction of the nurse.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma, or its equivalent required. Has a current CNA or in nursing school having completed fundamental skills clinical experience. Previous work as a CNA, PCA or MHT preferred. Basic Life Support Required upon hire.Motor
