The Phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining blood and other specimens for laboratory testing according to physician's orders. This includes preparing the skin site and performing venipunctures while adhering to established aseptic techniques.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with post-secondary education through an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred. At least one year of experience is preferred, along with PBT (ASCP) Certification or equivalent.

Obtains needed supplies, verifies patient Identification, prepares skin site and performs venipunctures according to established aseptic techniques. Labels specimen and transport it to Laboratory for analysis.
