Provide direct support and a residential environment for individuals with mental health and substance abuse histories in a community-based group home. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring medication, and advocating for clients to optimize their independence and recovery.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a reliable insured vehicle. Experience with psychiatric disorders and certifications in First Aid, CPR, and MAP are preferred.
The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking Direct Care Staff to join our team at our Sequoia residential program in Hartford, CT. Our residential direct care staff establish life-changing relationships with our participants and provide opportunities to optimize their independence, rehabilitation, and recovery.
The Sequoia House specializes in working with individuals that have forensic mental health conditions. Our goal is to provide an environment that encourages program participants to grow and to live as independently as possible.

You will also need to bring good written and verbal skills, and a strong level of compassion to meet the needs of the individuals served.
