Responsible for performing clinical and administrative duties, including patient intake, recording vital signs, and conducting CLIA waived lab tests. The role also involves coordinating patient care, managing referrals, and documenting medical visits as a scribe.
Requires a high school diploma and a Medical Assistant Diploma or National Certification, along with the completion of a medical assistant externship. A current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is mandatory.
Overview In collaboration with patients, families (as defined by the patient) and staff across all disciplines and departments is responsible for performing selected clinical duties including administrative/clerical duties, basic patient care and/or performing administrative tasks associated with patient intake.
