The primary function is to deliver personal healthcare and related services to the patient/client within their home environment. This includes assisting in maintaining a safe and clean environment while working cooperatively with the patient/client and family, and reporting observations to the supervisor.
Candidates must possess reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance, and ideally have at least one year of experience as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant in a relevant setting. A current driver's license is mandatory, and while a High School Diploma is preferred, the role requires the ability to verbally report clinical information and demonstrate interest in the welfare of the elderly.
At least one year experience preferred as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home or hospice agency.
Must be able to read, write, and verbally report clinical information to patients, representatives, and caregivers, as well as to other Agency staff. Demonstrates interest in the welfare of the ill and elderly. Proof of current CPR. Successful completion of the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist and written Skills Test.
