Provide comprehensive outcome-based nurse practitioner services, including diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions across various specialties. Additionally, perform surgical technician duties such as maintaining sterile fields and assisting in operating room procedures.
Requires a Master's degree in nursing with NP certification and a valid US license. Additionally, candidates must have a Surgical Technology certificate and at least one year of recent OR scrub experience.
Description Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are tasked with staffing The Naval Medical Clinic San Diego and associated locations with various roles, including Family Nurse Practitioner. The Family Nurse Practitioner are expected to do the following:
Degree: Master's degree in nursing.
Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties).
As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the credentialing instructions.
Possess a current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in any U.S. jurisdiction. Additional
Degree: Certificate.
Graduate from Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or completion of a formal training program provided by any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, or Air Force) for surgical technicians, surgical technologists or operating room technicians.
Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or certified as a Tech-in-Surgery (TS-C) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or possess a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) certification as a surgical technician and/or operating room technician.
One year of experience within the last two years as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician. Minimum one year of recent OR scrub experience (within the last year) Knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation
