The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for obtaining and analyzing blood gas samples, administering medical gases, and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. They work under the supervision of the Respiratory Manager and collaborate with physicians to provide care for patients with cardiopulmonary issues.
Candidates must complete an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold necessary state licensure and national certification. Preferred experience includes 1-3 years in a healthcare setting, along with required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and NRP.

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for obtaining, analyzing, testing, measuring and monitoring blood gas samples; administering, monitoring, recording results of or instructing in the use of medical gases, aerosols and bronchopulmonary hygiene techniques; performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, mechanical ventilation and administering medications for the testing or treatment of cardiopulmonary impaired patients of all ages. Under the supervision of the Respiratory Manager and upon request of the physician, sets up and operates various types of equipment to be utilized in diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary disease and/or illness according to established standards and practice.
